We went to the Pantheon two different times during our trip. Both times were….. magical.
The first time we visited was in the evening at the end of a very long first day in Europe. The second time was after a full morning in the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s. After a well deserved “power nap” we decide to head back to the Pantheon

What’s a trip to the Pantheon without an Oculus selfie!

One thing we wanted to do when we came back the Pantheon was to dine al fresco on Piazza della Rotonda.
This Panorama was taken while we sat eating our early dinner

What a dinner time view.

It wasn’t until this point that I realized that European beer has a lot higher alcohol content. As we opened our wine bottle sized beer (750ml) I looked on the menu and saw that it had an alcohol content of 7.5%! This was one of those classic double take moments. 7.5%? That cant be right. It must be a typo. Wait, the next beer on the list is 7% the next 7.5%……… Looks like I owe my liver an apology.

As we were eating dinner the street performers starting playing across the Piazza. What’s that? He’s playing Pink Floyd. I’m not kidding.
You have not lived until you are sitting in front of a 2,000 year old building as they are playing Wish you were Here followed by Time and Comfortably Numb. A truly unforgettable evening. It was one of those moments where you realize what a magical moment this is and how lucky I am to share this with a such a special person as my wife.
