Walking the old town in Mykonos first thing in the morning really is a magical. The narrow streets and painted flagstones are unlike any other island we had visited.

Now where did Nana go?

There she is!

After walking up to the windmills we looked over the Old town below us. As we sat there in the morning sun a young lady came over and started earnestly working on something. After 15 minutes of fiddling, her drone took flight and flew over and around the windmills and the out over the old town. She was using her iPhone to control it and was continuously taking video. Looking up the drone online it was the Mavic Pro. It is capable of doing fully stabilized 4K video and can fly for up to 20 minutes. Think of the movies you could make with this!

This section of the Old town is called “Little Venice”

Another section of photos just screaming out to be screensavers:

As we were sitting there, eating lunch (al fresco, of course) we watch this little fishing boat cruised on in.

Continuing our fine tradition of drinking beer at lunch………. We have refined our methodology and now only drink local draft beer whenever possible.

As we walked back to the tender we come across a fisherman going through all of his hooks. He pulls each piece of line through his lips to straighten it before hooking it over the edge of the bin. You get the feeling this is how it has been done for generations.

If you want to just get away from it all, Mykonos is a beautiful place to go.
